Oborevwori congratulates Okpe monarch on installation as Chancellor, Army ‘varsity
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has congratulated the Chairman of the State Traditional Rulers’ Council and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue 1, on his installation as the pioneer Chancellor of the Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State.
Governor Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, also congratulated the revered monarch on his conferment with the Honorary Doctor of Law Degree of the university.
The Governor, in his congratulatory message to the royal father, pointed out that his “astute leadership qualities and robust experience as a retired Army General and highly respected traditional ruler” earned him the appointment.
Governor Oborevwori also thanked President Bola Tinubu for finding the Orodje worthy of such recognition and appointment.
He urged the traditional ruler to bring his wealth of experience as a retired Army General and former Chancellor of the Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, to bear on his new appointment.
The Governor said: “On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I convey my heartfelt congratulations to you, HRM Maj. Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue 1, Mni, CFR, on your appointment as the Chancellor of the Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State.
“Your appointment is a testament to your exceptional leadership qualities and your unwavering commitment to the development of education in our country.
“As a highly respected traditional ruler and Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council, your appointment as Chancellor is a confirmation of the trust and confidence reposed in your ability to lead with distinction.
“This is a great honour to Deltans and a well-deserved recognition of your many years of dedicated service to the country and humanity.”
While wishing the Chancellor success in this new role, Governor Oborevwori also said; “I have no doubt that your vast experience, wisdom, and leadership skills will be of immense value to the university, even as you continue to make significant contributions to the growth and development of education in our country.”
