Group begins Community-to-Community documentary of how people perceive Chukwunwike’s first tenure

The Do-It-Again (DIA) initiative, a pro-Jude Chukwunwike group, has began a community-to-community tour aimed at documenting the views of the people on the performance of the council chairman’s first tenure in office.

This was disclosed on Monday during the official presentation of the group’s regalia to the council secretariat, Ogwashi-Uku.

The group led by Aniocha South vice chairman, Hon. Amaka Adigwe, told Chukwunwike that, “We have worked closely with you over the years. We have seen your vision for Aniocha South and how you want to go about actualizing it. We know that you have the people at heart. So, as we are winding down, we know that you can do a lot more, hence we chose to create this group to go out there and get the testimonies of the people living in the various communities in Aniocha South Local Government Area”, Adigwe said.

Receiving the team, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, said that most of the successes of his administration are inspired by God.

“Let me start by appreciating the Almighty God who alone has the power to empower man to say a thing and it comes to pass. In my inaugural speech, I indeed said that I will bit the ground running. I also said that we will leave Aniocha South better than we met it because I am a team player. I believe in making people around me happy. I believe in keeping promises. I don’t get myself entangled in promises and fail because I find it difficult to promise what I cannot do”, the council chairman said.

On why he chose to embark on landmark projects like the renovation and resuscitation of the Egbudu-Akah Community Primary Health Care Center, the council chairman explained it is the only way to show the people that they did right by electing him to office.

“Three or six years are just like a tip of the finger. If I deceive you in the first three years, how will I look at you again? So, I had to go the extra mile to deliver on every promise made. I made up my mind not to be a clannish leader and we have been able to spread out projects across the various clans in Aniocha South”, he added.

Speaking further, Chukwunwike said: “Most of the things that I do that is being applauded are inspirations from God”.

Similarly, the leader of the sixth Legislative Arm, Hon Leonard Nzemeke, applauded the initiative, stressing that the Executive Chairman has touched the major areas in Aniocha South.
