Chukwunwike lauds Rotary for humanitarian services, congratulates Osaji on installation as 18th Asaba president

The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has commended Rotary Club for remaining focused in its humanitarian obligations.

Reiterating that providing service to others is a sure way to bridge the inequality gap and promote global peace, he said every human being has something of value which when deployed enriches not just the individual but the larger society.

Chukwunwike spoke at Orchid Hotel, Asaba venue of the installation ceremony of Dr. Chiedu Osaji as 18th president of the Asaba chapter of the largest non-religious service organisation.

“It actually feels great to be part of a club whose sole mission is to provide service to others. By serving others, we learn practically how to be accountable and selfless.

“In a world that is filled with greed, pride and other forms of narcissistic behaviours, anyone in his right senses cannot stop appreciating the role that Rotary Club is playing globally in service to humanity”, Chukwunwike said.

He explained that the club’s impact is felt at the grassroots, stressing that it had lived up to its mantra of service to humanity in Aniocha South.

“Severally, in Aniocha South, Rotary members do go out of their schedule to engage in environmental sanitation exercises aimed at keeping to major roads clean and making the communities safer for residents to live”, Chukwunwike said.

He congratulated Osaji, a pharmacist, on his installation, encouraging him to strive to make a difference that will create legendary footprints for younger leaders.

“First, in my capacity as the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Area, I want to congratulate Rotarian Pharm. Osaji for emerging as the 18th president 2023/2024.

“I also want to remind him that it is an honour to lead a worldwide club with over 1.4 million members. Your character and attitude will affect the globe not just Asaba. I urge you to strive to be the best president Rotary ever had”, Chukwunwike advised.
